The taste of food

This is the local traditional snack brought from the auntie near my
home.

living in old public estate of Hk, we can find this kind of freshy
homemade snacks sold by granny. They dont have license or shops, just
a mobile trolley with different kind of snacks like sweet red bean
riceballs, sweet rice cake made by herbs. They made their food and
sold to neigbourhood. The transaction goes along with casual chitchat
with topics on food, neighbourhood and etc.This is something that we
missed out when we buy our food from supermarket.

First time to visit Kadoorie farm and first time to see farmland on
hill terrance.

Farmland - a word that rare for Hk ppl to talk about nowadays. It is
hard for us to experience how difficult to grow our food with the
combination of natural and human effort.
From seeds,watering and sunshine...etc.

Watching "night and fog" by Alain Resnais on one misty sunday
nite. My heart sinkened when I passed through central. Once I stepped
from star ferry and walked towards central, it was a large piece of
reclamation land with construction machines and cargos
Where is the coastline?

I couldn't stop relating what I saw in the film: Construction site and
cargos look like dormitory blocks in the camp.
The misty air / polluted air looks like the poisoned gas.
People are marginalized to the outskirts of new territory.
Our life are controlled by the land developers.

People working here thought they work for liberty and freedom but in
fact they may not realize they are working hard just to earn enough
money and get the entrance ticket into the system.

I couldn't keep thinking,
Are we living in the invisible -live concentration camp?

It was a misty morning,
The view of natural looks surreal to me.

那天和同�一起到旺角上海街一�漫�小店，看看街坊的生活。突然被那新建的豪
宅和商�大��呆。那�「��」正一步一步迫近我�，心�非常不安。

6 dec 09 Spore marathon

兩年前到此地完成第一個海外十公里賽事，兩年後也在這裏完成了第一個海外全馬拉松。這已是第四次踏足新加坡了。很喜歡這個城市，這裡跟香港沒有時差，四季也是溫暖的（只是中午時下着雨）。十二月的氣溫是全年之中較低及少雨，新加坡哥哥說是"windy summer"。作為跑者，這是一個十分理想的跑步天氣。

第二次跑全馬，雖然沒有很認真去練習，只是盡量在工作後跑去健身室踏單車，跑treadmill。天氣稍為好一點便往戶外跑步。貪玩的我也忍不住happy hour飲酒和沒有小心飲食。盡量不想把跑步的樂趣變成壓力。

今次身體及心理狀況比第一次跑有明顯的改善。時間慢了十分鐘，但能夠完成及身心狀況有改善，對我來說已是進步！

過程:
很多朋友也是"run their own race"，沒有壓力，只是為自己負責。大家一起跑，有的是四五知己，一對對情侶、夫婦，也有很多獨立人仕。他們的關係一一從背面的號碼布看到。
女的寫着：For Hubby...
男的寫着：For Wife...
四五知己寫着：We are slow but we are ahead of you!
獨立人仕寫着：在終點等着你回來-老婆上（原文為英文）
也有小孩畫給父親的鼓勵字句。

令我感動的是看見一位年輕的女孩，由於視障關係，用布條矇着眼睛，由兩位朋友充當pacer給她開路完成42公里，她真勇敢！

在路上的水站、first aids 站遇上很多友善的跑者，大家互相幫忙着。有位跑者把水/muscle rub給我，也有位幫我開水蓋......
這些坤仕風度似乎在香港沒有遇到。

跑的時候心裡想着很多事情，希望在終點衝線的一刻全部放下來。已放下來了，準備迎接在生命中更加精彩的東西。

感謝我的朋友，特別是physcio 莊給我的支持及鼓勵，讓我安心地跑下去。

咖啡時光

旅程完結至今差不多一個月了。十分慶幸拋開一切，去到全歐洲最多人感染H1N1的國家進行冒險旅程。回港後發生太多變數，相信沒有這次旅程，也沒有力量勇於面對。
今天晚上翻看照片，回憶旅途時細味過的每一杯咖啡，無論在露天廣場，長途火車上、米芝蓮級酒店、街市旁小店…靜觀古舊的建築物、綠油油的葡萄園、兩旁流動的景物或剛買完餸的街坊…懷念這種寧靜的心境。
