Just found out this interesting Free App for iphone user (both 2G & 3G):

By using the in-built phone camera, we can scan the 2D code and get direct access to the related URL.It is interesting to watch the animation demos for the practical use of this application.
The 2D code can apply to all printed materials,they even suggest u to get a 2D code tattoo!
Since the 2D code is not popular in HK , it only works for me if i tattoo my ID card no into 2D code, so if something happen to me, they can scan my tattoo and get my ID no to identify this nameless-dead-old woman body from the street...
Sounds like a prisoner in the concentration camp...

you don't have to tattoo it ;)
for example at http://www.snappr.net you can create a code and then 'Make Stuff' with it. That means you can print it on a shirt, hat or even your doggies pullover.
Its less expensive and definitely less painful :)
lln: lets think about how to utilize this 2d code for single, beautiful young woman......maybe we can make some stickers and post it on the street for "dating or matching" advertisement..
