I dunno much about Juming but fortunately, i have the chance to encounter his works in different places, different countries and different time. What fascinate me is the chemistry creates between his large-scaled sculptures and the environment...
Too windy tonite...and this old tune popped up in mind...a sad song related to wind...
Jimi Hendrix -Wind Cries Mary After all the jacks are in their boxes and the clowns have all gone to bed You can hear happiness staggering on down the street Footprints dressed in red and the wind whispers mary
A broom is drearily sweeping up the broken pieces of yesterdays life Somewhere a queen is weeping somewhere a king has no wife And the wind it cries mary
The traffic lights they turn of blue tomorrow And shine their emptiness down on my bed The tiny island sails downstream cause the life that lived is dead And the wind screams mary
Will the wind ever remember the names it has blown in the past And with this crutch its old age and its wisdom It whispers no this will be the last And the wind cries mary

In The Street: chalk drawings and messages, New York City 1938–1948 記錄了三十至四十年代,紐約街頭兒童用粉筆畫graffiti的作品集。其後她的作品集如Crosstown(黑白), Slide Show: The Color Photographs of Helen Levitt (彩色)及 Here and There(黑白)全部以街頭人、景、物為題材。 看她的作品令我想起很喜歡的 Cartier Bresson,在網上閱讀一些文章時也發現她的作品常被提及與Bresson 和Walker Evans 共通之處,以下的節錄也許能說明一點: " Her self-taught education aligned her with Henri Cartier-Bresson and Walker Evans. Cartier-Bresson's work taught her three lessons: a blunt photographic record of ordinary facts could reveal the mystery and fantasy within daily life; that the poetry in such pictures turned its back on conventional value systems and notions of beauty; and that this art, which trafficked in the momentary, was not haphazard."
the latest Dunhill menswear billboard was up . It was nice to see the handsome Jude Law face and cool posture. As the bus passes by the same spot everyday, i feel "uncomfortable" with the billboard... that's Jude Law just sitting next with the dog... um ... it seems he wanna stay with the dog rather than with human being ...
haven't been going out for drink on fri nite for a while... really need a chill out from work ... this month is pretty intensive...
sadly, my necklace was broken in the middle of the conversation... i am not the one who fancy in necklace or accessories... but i really like this necklace even though it's not a expensive one ... cant explain...
" it's a sign to indicate u should let it go " ... said my friend ...
i keep thinking abt his word ... what kind of thing that i should let it go in life ... actualy there are a few matters who bother me for some while..guess it's really a time to let it go ...

In response to Green Rabbit's request on "your favorite Anchor Music", here comes my anchor music .. or music which smooth my moody day ...
1) Bjork - Declare Independence
* A track from her latest album "Volta". I am so moved by the strong rhythm and lyrics! this is the live performance from Glastonbury 2007 ! very powerful! -------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) The Verve - On your own
Tell me what you seen Was it a dream? Was I in it? Life seems so obscene Until it's over Who knows?
All I want is someone who can fill the hole In the life I know In between life and death When there's nothing left Do you wanna know?
You come in on your own And you leave on your own Forget the lovers you've know And your friends on your own
* The Verve is one of my fav. music band ..this song is almost 10 yrs from now... The lyrics is not the "encouraging" one , but a very true and honest piece of word... -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life Try to make ends meet You're a slave to money then you die I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down You know the one that takes you to the places where all the veins meet yeah,
No change, I can change I can change, I can change But I'm here in my mold I am here in my mold But I'm a million different people from one day to the next I can't change my mold No, no, no, no, no
Well I never pray But tonight I'm on my knees yeah I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now
* Still , the song from my fav. band , i love...not only the lyrics, the beat..but also the MV...simple yet straight to the point! Imagine you walk on the street with the tune in your mind....
-------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) Madonna - Sorry
I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know Please don't say you're sorry I've heard it all before And I can take care of myself I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know Please don't say 'forgive me' I've seen it all before And I can't take it anymore
You're not half the man you think you are Save your words because you've gone too far I listened to your lies and all your stories (listen to your stories) You're not half the man you'd like to be
Don't explain yourself cause talk is cheap There's more important things than hearing you speak You stayed because I made it so convenient (made it so convenient) Don't explain yourself, you'll never see
* i admit, this is my recent fav. "heal the heartbreak" + cycling song... i just found out it also applies in my work ... -------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) Pink Floyd - Another Brick of the Wall
* my anchor music / school anthem in my high sch and uni days..
* why it becomes my anchor music ?... the lyrics act like a sharp knife and stab directly into your wounded heart... instead of stab deepen into your wound,it "encourage " you to bounce back and release from the pain ... "Just let it go" ...another "heartbreak healing song"
well, that's all i can think of at this moment... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Tag blog: Green Rabbit
Just watched a documentary on Bob Dylan (also posted at Table56) and learned about this old song... I keep thinking about the "ship"(shit) theory from a new management today.. cant imagine what kind of ship that he is talking about....
WHEN THE SHIP COMES IN with Bob Dylan & Joan Baez at the Civil Rights March in Washington, D.C., 1963
Oh the time will come up When the winds will stop And the breeze will cease to be breathin'. Like the stillness in the wind 'Fore the hurricane begins, The hour when the ship comes in.
Oh the seas will split And the ship will hit And the sands on the shoreline will be shaking. Then the tide will sound And the wind will pound And the morning will be breaking.
Oh the fishes will laugh As they swim out of the path And the seagulls they'll be smiling. And the rocks on the sand Will proudly stand, The hour that the ship comes in.
And the words that are used For to get the ship confused Will not be understood as they're spoken. For the chains of the sea Will have busted in the night And will be buried at the bottom of the ocean.
A song will lift As the mainsail shifts And the boat drifts on to the shoreline. And the sun will respect Every face on the deck, The hour that the ship comes in.
Then the sands will roll Out a carpet of gold For your weary toes to be a-touchin'. And the ship's wise men Will remind you once again That the whole wide world is watchin'.
Oh the foes will rise With the sleep still in their eyes And they'll jerk from their beds and think they're dreamin'. But they'll pinch themselves and squeal And know that it's for real, The hour when the ship comes in.
Then they'll raise their hands, Sayin' we'll meet all your demands, But we'll shout from the bow your days are numbered. And like Pharaoh's tribe, They'll be drownded in the tide, And like Goliath, they'll be conquered.
Your propensity for monogamy is medium. In general, you prefer to have only one love interest. But it's hard for you to stay devoted for too long! There's too much eye candy to keep you from wandering.
Experience Level:
Your experience level is medium. You probably have had a couple significant loves. And you may have even had your heart broken. But you haven't really dated a wide variety of people.
Dominance:
Your dominance is medium. You tend to be the one with more power. You aren't a total control freak in relationships.. But of course you don't mind getting you way!
Cynicism:
Your cynicism is low. You are an eternal optimist when it comes to love and romance. No matter how many times you've been hurt - you're never bitter. You believe in one true love, your perfect soulmate. And if you haven't found true love yet, you know you will soon.
Independence:
Your independence is medium. In relationships, you need both "me time" and "we time." You usually find it easy to be part of a couple. But occasionally you start to feel a little smothered.
看了一本書叫 《簡單的法則 》(The Laws Of Simplicity) 作者是 John Maeda。
其中,系列01 是 Nam June Paik 的"Zen For Film"(1962-64)。
a splendid nite with a long lost friend, hookah and shisha , mint mojito at Sahara Mezz Bar plus great jazz at senses 99, we played a little "automatic writing" games, the first person wrote a line on the paper, folded it and next one continued, we had 2 rounds , unfolded the paper and came up with two beautiful writings... we all liked it and became our memories on that particular nite.
A midsummer quartet on Senses 99 by mj, n, d and a , 26.05.07
1.
buds, cigarette buds the beginning and the end extinct, and re-ignited I thought i was someone else, someone new and black befalls in the music hall ashes blown away we meet to depart Beside the lake, beneath the trees, fluttering and dancing in the breeze
2.
I don't describe to this point of view. top of the world, edge of the universe on a jazzy nite, music and wine tip-toed to the top, Gentle is rare in this society Sink under your favourite green island on the right track with endurance fallen pregnant with mental block wan to vanish inside your kiss. the day after tomorrow
...8am - helped my u mate for online wedding registration... ...8pm - attended a furneral ... ...someone just gave birth to her first child... ... someone is waiting for the medical report... ... a farewell to my colleague ... ... a meet up with some long lost friends... ... a beginning (also the end)of a relationship... ...just happened within one day /week ...
dunno y, it makes me think of an old movie "Four weddings and a funeral" , which is back in 1994. From there , i recall this beautiful poem ,just google and you can find it easily... Funeral Blues Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead. Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one, Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun, Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods; For nothing now can ever come to any good.
-- W.H. Auden
According to the information, this poem was first published as "Song IX" from 'Twelve Songs' (1936); reprinted under the present title in 'Tell me the Truth about Love' (1976)
What ? 1936 ? cant imagine this poem was written at that time, as it still sounds " modern" to me ...well maybe a slight change to some lines... Stop all the mobile , cut off the msn/internet(pls forgive me as i am ruining the poem)...
dear sandy beach, dear sunshine, dear seabreeze, dear bluesky, dear soft and white sands, dear seawaves, dear birdsss, dear greenland, dear bookworm , the creamcheese bagel and wonderful apple and spinash soup...
a bday present from greenrabbit... greenrabbit said she gave this "love-heart shaped" leaf to me so that i could take care the "love" and let it grow until one day, "love" would find her companion again... sadly, "love" could not survive...
剪接、做fade in fade out 老套的powerpoint 我也可以,友情價!!」
