一位新加坡友人說香港人很懂得「食」，對飲食十分講究。
心裡並不相信，以為絕大部份亞洲人也喜歡食吧！
不過那天到Miss A家中品嚐了以為只有在 discovery travel & living channel 出現的 high tea後，也開始認同友人的說法！

感覺很不好…
五十二歲的我會是怎樣？
嫁到日本、擁有一個老公兼經理人及兩名子女的福氣相信沒有了，
周身病痛也走不掉…

小記：原來我曾經也有機會是一半日本人，老媽說過她的舊老闆曾邀她到日本工作，
那時她只有十六歲，太年幼，婆婆不許。如果老媽真的去了日本的話，
也許我是個中日混血兒吧！:P

看

巳有一段時間沒有以macro(微觀)角度來觀看事物，去創作…
對(人、男女朋友)要macro，工作要 Micro(宏觀)又要marco去對工作上的人…
很不容易… 可以簡單嗎？

空間

近期乘搭巴士時也帶備一本輕便書藉閱讀或對窗發獃，
盡量避看重複的畫面，某天看到的有點不同…

花火

一直對煙花滙演沒有什麽好感。
政府把金錢燃燒可不把它援助弱勢社群。
自從在旅途中看過兩次難忘的煙花滙演後，又對它有所改觀。
可能香港的煙花滙演或詠彩幻香江能帶給旅途中的人及小孩一些難忘的
回憶和專業技術人員的就業機會…
那天晚上，手拿一包蝦條和玉泉，走上公司天台觀看煙花，
感覺像「不能結婚的男人」的阿部寬，輕鬆自在…

my lower back = the sign of aging

hurt my lower back during the cycling class today ...
it 's my first time to get hurt from sport for the past 10 months..
it just happened suddenly even i had my warm up and stretching ...

it's about time to get a more intensive training for the marathon and i have already hurt my body...
sigh... really cant push it ..
my spirit is still young but my body also reveal the sign of a early 30's female's physical body ... :(

Helen Levitt

收到一封enews，被幾幅以兒童為對象的圖片及chalk graffiti drawing吸引着，google 一番後初步認識了這位年近八十仍十分活躍的女攝影師。

Helen Levitt(1931-)生於 Brooklyn, New York，自學攝影兼教兒童藝術。兒童便成了她拍攝的主要對象。In The Street: chalk drawings and messages, New York City 1938–1948 記錄了三十至四十年代，紐約街頭兒童用粉筆畫graffiti的作品集。其後她的作品集如Crosstown(黑白), Slide Show: The Color Photographs of Helen Levitt (彩色)及 Here and There(黑白)全部以街頭人、景、物為題材。她的作品風格寫實自然，人物不需在鏡頭前擺姿造作。在鏡頭下，一切平凡的事物呈現出一種難以形容的自然及詩意美。
看她的作品令我想起很喜歡的 Cartier Bresson，在網上閱讀一些文章時也發現她的作品常被提及與Bresson 和Walker Evans 共通之處，以下的節錄也許能說明一點：
" Her self-taught education aligned her with Henri Cartier-Bresson and Walker Evans. Cartier-Bresson's work taught her three lessons: a blunt photographic record of ordinary facts could reveal the mystery and fantasy within daily life; that the poetry in such pictures turned its back on conventional value systems and notions of beauty; and that this art, which trafficked in the momentary, was not haphazard."

Jude Law and the dog

the latest Dunhill menswear billboard was up . It was nice to see the handsome Jude Law face and cool posture.
As the bus passes by the same spot everyday, i feel "uncomfortable" with the billboard...
that's Jude Law just sitting next with the dog... um ... it seems he wanna stay with the dog rather than with human being ...

time to let it go

haven't been going out for drink on fri nite for a while...
really need a chill out from work ...
this month is pretty intensive...

sadly, my necklace was broken in the middle of the conversation...
i am not the one who fancy in necklace or accessories... but i really like this necklace even though it's not a expensive one ... cant explain...

" it's a sign to indicate u should let it go " ... said my friend ...

i keep thinking abt his word ... what kind of thing that i should let it go in life ... actualy there are a few matters who bother me for some while..guess it's really a time to let it go ...

The Man From London

《倫敦來客》是匈牙利導演 Béla Tarr 零七年最新作品。這是第三次看他的作品。還記得兩年前也是在Agnes b CINEMA!看過他的《撒旦探戈》Sátántangó (1994) ，片長七小時，幸好從辦公室拿來坐墊還與友人作伴，恐防集中力不夠便打瞌睡…他的電影真是不容易看，長鏡頭、節奏緩慢、就像一幅巨形拼圖，觀眾需要耐心地把人、事、物拼湊一起。

《倫敦來客》也是如此，不過是一個偵探小說故事，相比《殘缺的和聲》Werckmeister Harmonies (2000)和《撒旦探戈》我所看過的前兩部作品，來得比較容易消化。
欣賞他的簡約 —影片前段只有數句對白，充份運用影像說故事，；
欣賞他的長鏡頭 —給予觀眾空間，把故事慢慢連接起來；
欣賞他的節奏 —對於習慣了「速戰速決」、「即食」影像的觀眾在觀賞習慣上來個沖擊；
不過，這幾種元素一旦失去平衡，便會失了重心，變得鬆散…
他的作品如在大銀幕放映的話，我仍會把握機會看，不過說不上十分喜歡…
太沈重了，有點受不了…

《殘缺的和聲》的尾段，令我感動的一幕，沈重的一段…

Zabriskie Point

安東尼奧離開了，
很想寫一些對他的作品感想，
很想重看他所有作品，再次認識他…
今晚，想起這套他唯一的美國電影 Zabriskie Point (1970)
想起一些零碎片段…
這是電影的尾段，Pink Floyd的音樂，震撼的場面…

又一年

On the Road轉眼又一年！
翻看第一篇blog 記，回想這一年走過的路，
不過不失…除了在原本的大路上行走，
也嘗試行得大步一點、尋找新的小路 。
仍自覺未夠踏上"side track"的膽量和好奇心。

看見三歲半姪兒對新事物的探索好奇心態，
雖然這些事物對成年人來說根本是平平無奇，
對他來說卻是一個樂園，從他眼中發掘的東西往往
層出不窮，意想不到…

我們從經驗中學習但經驗往往亦成為一種限制，
在做人處事上變得更加審慎，害怕面對、失去、失敗，
多了收飾、計算，少了幾分坦誠的勇氣。

與姪兒相處令我有很體會，他的探索精神
也正是踏上"side track"所需要的…

小休片刻…

每天能看見這樣的日落，
晚上在月光影照下睡着，
也是一件樂事…很滿足…
如果這一刻要離開這個世界，
也無悔…

運動篇

今年定下的「before 30s goal」，
「運動」是我其中的一項小目標，
完成了第一個10k馬拉松後將繼續向半馬拉松目標進發，
練習了差不多半年，幸好沒有「三分鐘熱度」，
因為開始運動後，身心也明顯改善了不少…

在同事的鼓勵及無心插柳下參加了游泳班，
幸運地被抽中 (心想，如果買六合彩也這樣就好了！)
八月中將進行兩個星期的密集式訓練…
第一階段成人捷泳訓練班 …我來了！
希望能完成另一 "before 30's運動小目標"。

現在更期侍十二月的來臨，可以試試到其他地方跑一跑…
因為完成了它後，我的「before 30s goal」也到達終點了！

關於burger…

不知從哪時候開始，有了尋找美味burger的興趣…
回想起，是因為某位朋友吧！
那位愛食的朋友總喜歡四處尋找新的餐廳、美食，
每當品嘗到美味的食物時，
臉上總掛上滿足、「貪食」又快樂的微笑 …
漸漸地，也被他的「為食冒險精神」感染了…

他曾說過一個好的burger最重要是一塊充滿肉汁的牛肉塊,
要是優質的肉塊，不需什麼醬料或cheese巳足夠。
要測試那店子是否好壞，叫一客 original便可…
從多次Burger旅程中，也認同他 「Burger之道」，
簡單的還是最好，因為這樣才能真正品嘗食物的味道…
我想，我的生活也可以這樣就好了…

註：近期試過了press room的press burger ($75) 和soho的媽媽burger (hk$25)…
其實兩個也不錯，但論價錢低食程度，媽媽burger 成為我的至愛…

旅行的義意

轉眼又一年，
上年的七月六號帶着人生以來最疲憊不堪嘅身心，
獨自上路，踏上最遠的旅程…
很多第一次的旅行經驗…
第一次獨自旅行，
第一次上網訂火車票，
第一次拿着地圖自訂旅程…
…
還有重拾一段與自己獨處的時候…
整個旅程歷歷在目…

曾對自己說過，每年也要去一次長途旅行，
今年未能成事…也離不開金錢、時間等因素…
不過這次旅行卻帶來另一個體驗–
無論在任何地方也可以享受旅行帶來的「心情」，
只要能保持這種「旅行心態」–
(探險、開放、勇於發掘、感受、享受…等)
任何時刻也可進入「旅行狀態」…

註：長途旅行計劃將於明年鐵定實行！

走進教堂

走進教堂
參與一位從幼稚園開始認識的女同學婚禮，
想起有點恐怖…那麼多年…
亦珍惜這份難能可貴的友誼…

巳有一段長時間沒到過教堂參與彌撒，
一位修女曾說過…
「心不在，離開一段時間吧！心在時，再回去」
這句話一直記在心中，而我亦一直沒有回去…
要是參與彌撒的原因只有兩個：葬禮、婚禮
只想給他/她們一個祝福。

走進教堂，感覺陌生，格格不入
聽到了熟悉的經文，詩歌，
原來它們已不知不覺刻印在腦中，
…但沒有因此而投入…只是旁觀者

感動…
是被一對新人對雙方的感情敢於作出承諾、分擔及
擁有共同的宗教熱誠而感動…
加上由五位神父主持彌撒(十分特別情況下才出現的)，
教堂裡，感覺到它的存在、它給這對新人的祝福…

曾經在一所教堂裡強烈地感覺到它的存在…
想起來也有點矛盾，一個「離開」了的人
也會感覺到它的存在…
另一矛盾是…
教堂現成了旅遊點、像看博物館…
亦把它成了旅行時靜思的地方…
到教堂的真正意義巳沒有…

…我就是一個這樣矛盾的人…
想的、說的和行動的也是不一致…

說着全世界連小五六也分辨到的大謊話
隨着在報紙相片錄像看到的更不需說吧
逃忙審查坐監軟禁…
某年初步天安門，看見了毛主席的相片
也記起了那天從黃昏到清晨的在電視看到的
中間新聞看不到的
在這刻
像看到了感受到了
忘記了星期一是六四
那天的六月四日代表一個死線
和一個重要的會議
轉眼，不覺已經十八年

The Laws Of Simplicity

看了一本書叫
《簡單的法則 》(The Laws Of Simplicity)
作者是 John Maeda。
生於1966年，日裔美國人，圖像設計師、
視覺藝術家、在MIT教授及電腦科技專家。

買這本書不是作者的名氣(因為不知他是誰)，而是被書名吸引。
一向喜歡 "Minimalism"的概念，尤其在流動影像方面。
還記得老師介紹第一套與"Minimalism"有關的短片來自
"Fluxus Art movement"。Fluxus 藝術家群共創造了超過
三十多套具實驗性的短片，挑戰傳統影像。其中，系列01 是 Nam June Paik
的"Zen For Film"(1962-64)。
全長八分鐘，無聲，定鏡，一片空白。
同學們看了不到兩分鐘，仍然一片空白，有的開始起哄，有的開始睡魔急召…
是否只是一片空白？還是8mm 所產生的 film grain如一幅流動「畫像」？任你演繹！

另外印象深刻是 yoko ono 的 "Four"。抵死好玩！什?是「四」？ 看看便知！


"Minimalism"和"Simplicity"擁有異曲同工的意思。
在MIT任教的John Maeda在"Simplicity"(簡單)"Complexity"(複雜)
兩字中同時包含"MIT"這三個字，而"T"代表"technology"科技。
這三角關係成為他致力研究的題目。

《十個簡單的法則》
1.減少(Reduce)—達到簡單的最簡單方法，就是用心割捨。
2.組織(Organize)—妥善組織能使複雜的系統顯得比較簡單。
3.時間(Time)—節省時間會讓人感覺簡單。
4.學習(Learn)—知識使一切變得更簡單。
5.差異(Differences)—簡單和複雜相輔相成。
6.背景(Context)—簡單的周邊事物絕非無關重要。
7.感情(Emotion)—感情愈多愈好。
8.信任(Trust)—我們相信簡單。
9.失敗(Failure)—有些事物不可能簡單。
10.單一(The One)—簡單是減少明顯的，增加有意義的。

另有三個要點
1.遠離(Away)—只要挪得遠遠的，多就會顯得少。
2.開放(Open)—開放簡化複雜。
3.能源(Power)—少用，會得到更多。

以上的只是重點，作者還以ipod的設計, google等例子作解說。

其實，法則任你創造，這裡只作參考。如 John Maeda所說，
這十條法則也是從眾多法則中挑選出來。
書中的內容也隨?時間而有所改變或加入新的看法。

把書中的內容伸延。

這是一本很容易閱讀的書本，讀者不需要是「電腦人」也能掌握。
他所提及的法則，對日常生活、創作也有啟發。

A midsummer quartet on Senses 99

a splendid nite with a long lost friend,

we played a little "automatic writing" games,
the first person wrote a line on the paper, folded it and next one continued,
we had 2 rounds , unfolded the paper and
came up with two beautiful writings...
we all liked it and became our memories on that particular nite.

太平包
住在長洲的同事
從老遠帶來了
熱騰騰新鮮出爐的太平包，
對，是熱的，從長洲的麵包店帶來的，
這是我從來未吃過的，
最「暖心」的下午茶小點。
從新聞報導得知一些無聊新聞如
今年的太平包是塑膠做的(衛生的理由)，
又有第一位女參賽者進入決賽…

從未吃過它…
不是很甜曳曳的，
很香口的蒸麵粉味道
加上白芝麻及白麻蓉…
不論怎樣，也是味道好的，
因為以被同事的誠意及太平包的代表性蓋過一切…

心想，我住的地區有什麼獨特小食
可與同事朋友分享？

也帶有點醉意(真的不是喝酒的人…還是自我陶醉…)
看見了最親的家人(侄仔和亞媽)

上前給侄仔蓋上被子(慣常地把被子翻開)

有點想哭但哭不出來的感覺…

dunno y, it makes me think of an old movie "Four weddings and a funeral" , which is back in 1994. From there , i recall this beautiful poem ,just google and you can find it easily...

What ? 1936 ? cant imagine this poem was written at that time, as it still sounds
" modern" to me ...well maybe a slight change to some lines...

從來不是愛花之人，
某年夏天從娥頸橋街市花墟看見睡蓮
從顏色繽紛奪目的花群中靜悄悄地躺在水瓶裹，
不屑與花群爭妍鬥豔，
不須綠葉伴着，

大慨從那時起喜歡它吧！

買回家後才知道「睡」蓮的意思，
白天開着花辨，夜間花辨便收緊着…
不費力鬥豔、平實簡潔…

某天某人又說：「來看看你們在談什麽？」
「哦，怎麼，又來叫我們轉工？」
「是呵！何必搭沈船」
「那麼，你真偉大，是一首沈船也來乘搭」…

然後，某人又轉話題，九唔搭八…
對某人的期望又再减退…

我結婚了+紅色炸彈(前傳)

今年的復活假很有「假期」的感覺。
五天的紅假，只有一天回公司工作，
此外，亦與朋友聚會、看了幾套電影、煲碟及一些「發白日夢」空間。
感受深刻的是參與好友群的第一個「三十生日派對」。
好友與她的男友特地回港，故我們的聚會也帶來男友、
未婚夫及丈夫出席，好讓男仕們彼此認識談談。
看着「大合照」的情景及閒談間，
心裡又再次感受着「我們真的長大了，不斷地轉變」等感覺。
看着好友們努力維持與伴侶及家庭等可以令人快樂亦令人煩惱的人際關係，
再細看自身的情況，「隱隱作痛」維持了一年多的感覺漸漸放下及變得清澈起來。
發現原來自己還未準備好…
是給自己一個藉口、是看了「不能結婚的男人」*？

ps:這篇blog是在假期後寫成的，一直存在草稿中，當作前傳吧…

我結婚了+紅色炸彈

今天又從中學同學口中得知某女同學的婚訊，
心裡想着：「又來了！巳是第五個了！」
心裡又想着這位女同學在中學時我認識她的印象…
心裡繼續想着：「結婚…連男友也沒有，不用想吧！」
在星期一還在weekend mood 無心工作時得來這個消息…
一時忍不着氣在辦公室向同事們大聲呼叫：「如果你們結婚，請我拍 video 吧！
剪接、做fade in fade out 老套的powerpoint 我也可以，友情價！！」
又立刻向某女同事要求快些舉辦單身BBQ 派對(她曾向單身女同事們提及過，
只是反應不大)…發嗡風一輪及做gym平伏心情後，又收到以下一封電郵…
我的未婚夫叫Chan Kong，我的婚禮在星洲……救命啊！

哦，是最虧損錢的…轉工吧！市道好。

巳不是第一次聽了，原來為「熱誠」來工作 (包括不想工資，事業前景等)，
到頭來只會換來「傻瓜」、「作賤自己」的稱喻…傻瓜！

學習篇

從來也沒有機會嘗試學習國畫及西洋畫，
甚至從小就對繪畫缺乏信心，
自覺要在空白的畫紙上，
利用畫筆把實物/景重現是非常困難的事。
要達到「心手合一」，更是難上加難…
從此不再深究，也確認「它」不是我杯茶。

想不到離開校院後在工作的地方加上
同事的鼓勵，兩樣也試過了。
雖然出來的沒有什麼好看，
但是也很滿足，不竟一生人也試過一次吧！

是一部喜出望外的電影。
古裝戰爭片並不是我杯茶，
不是朋友的邀請陪伴，也不會到戲院看，也不會買dvd。
改編自美國漫畫家 Frank Miller (Sin City)的作品，電影講述三百戰士敵百萬大軍。
Sin City已經很暴力血腥，此部還更甚，但非常精緻 — 從場景、服裝、音樂…
也是精心製作。
我最喜歡是基本的人物設計，每個戰士各有性格，
記不起他的名字也記得他們的故事…演技非常專業！
場景設計更是超於現實，真的要向荷李活big budget片致敬！
只有這樣的大製作才能做到令人讚嘆的場面…
及感受到只有在大銀幕下看才能品嚐電光幻影的魅力。

記得" love actually " 中的辦工室靚仔嗎?
他的名字叫Rodrigo Santoro，有非常出人意表的演出！

特首來了！

今天下午，他來了參觀工作的地方。
「你哋聽好呢個電話！」
「你哋手執好呢堆紙！」
「我代表公司升你哋500%人工！」

眾人雖知道他的「底細」，
但是他比「真」的更受歡迎，
說不定某年後，他真的變成民選特首！

某天，看過某雜誌封面中某男歌手手中拿着一個漢寶包，
加上看過那本雜誌很頓覺跟社會脫了節像外星人般，
立刻走進 M餐廳，買了那個剛推出改良的漢寶包，
來做個最潮最update的人。

做潮人的代價是把一堆junk food吞下肚下，
當天吞下的還有蛋撻，半can coke zero
幸好，某男同事幫我吃了cheese cake...

看着工作桌上的全是食品…而不是文件，
心裏不禁想，是某些事情發生的前奏...

Finished the 10K ..FINALLY..
after the 2 months "serious" training...
just in time to catch up ...
someone said its a joke for me to run 10k..but
this 1hr 5mins (from my own watch) becomes my motivation for my next goal "the half marathon" ---

if 10 K is my before 30s goal..this half marathon will be part of my 30s goal...

Seems like an interesting exhibition where artist influenced by comics strip, cartoon and animation.

Cant tell if its a good exh as i cant look at all the artworks.

As the reviews from NYTIMES said

A little doubt just by looking at a few photos, is anything exhibit in MoMA are good? um...

what a totally different situation in here... and will the new leader carries these elements...

《頤和園》--導演：婁燁

今天，感動了。
在這裡，不是工作了，
而是多年前在這裡曾有過的 …
遺失了很久的感覺…回到身邊
今天所看到的，在攝錄機鏡頭下的流動影像…
因社會道德、政治問題而被刪剪、禁播 …
在這裡， 因為它特殊的位置，
在大銀幕下與一群饑渴的大眾，齊看著它…
感受它的力量…

今個月令我感動的電影也是在這裡看到的…
《頤和園》中男女主角講述這段跨越中國近代政治經濟改革時段、藕斷絲蓮、糾纏不清的(三角/四角?)感情關係。
女主角余紅 那種對感情" 把持不定、既不願投入又放不低、害怕受傷" 的任性態度。「我要與你分開了，因我知道我將不能離開你」(lets break up, cos i know i can never leave you)* 。 尋求性慾上的滿足和短暫的 " companionship"來代替失去的愛情，受傷害的以為只是肉體軀殼，但肉體和精神的步伐卻並不一致，把自己在精神上推向崩潰邊沿。

兩女一男雖經歷時代的變化， 身在不同環境，關係仍糾纏不清直到其中一方退出了，

對方再次碰上，

「現在又怎樣了？」*
一切已無可挽留，昔日的情感隨時間不覺間已變了大家美化了的、理想化的回憶…

導演婁燁那種不拘束獨特的hand held 拍攝手法及具節奏性的剪接，與男女主角的性格及整套電影發生了一種奇妙的關係 。

太多感覺了，只能盡量有組織地把它寫下來…

很喜歡這套電影了，深信有更多人把它在更廣闊的網上討論。

The film looks very simple but it is not at all.

i keep thinking about it , trying to gather all fragments piece by piece, finding connections between them.

not only the linkage between four stories but also linkage within each story itself.

between parents and children ; couple ; family...

Four stories, four families can be seen as " unity" indivdually but what lacking between them is the coummication and understanding which cannot express in words.However, when it comes to the " breaking point", it bursted out into irrational behaviour ...

The Film title " Babel" already speaks for itself
